yah, generally.

there's also http://docs.jquery.com/Ajax/jQuery.getJSON, which is a  
tad more explicit.

paul, as far as a demo you can fork.. i don't know of any that are  
more app-like.

but you can definitely take that Dojo link and just replace it with  
jquery. the dojo.io.Bind is $.getJSON (obviously lots of hand-waving  
going on here.. but its a fairly simple modification. we should do it  
over beer :)
