maven / git question

Hello everyone,

I just fetched the latest codebase from github.
I have extreme trouble to compile it with "mvn install" on the command line. I never had my own private settings.xml, so I started to craft one.
However it looks like either the file is ignored or I have an extremely stupid error. Point is: skaringa rp40 can not be installed into my local repository.
"Failure to find skaringa:skaringa:jar:r4p0 in http://repo1.maven.org/maven2 ..."
I tried to add a repository like this:
<repository>
                <id>kodopan</id>
                <url>http://kodapan.se/</url>
                <releases>
                    <enabled>true</enabled>
                </releases>
                <snapshots>
                    <enabled>true</enabled>
                </snapshots>
</repository>
Which seems not the be visited. So I where my error is.
Does anyone have a mvn settings.xml file he can mail me privately?
I use mvn 3.0.3 btw ... but usually I never touch it but let it be run by Eclispe (which fails in this case as well)
