Klaus, I recall we had a similar discussion a while back on github. 

Most of our visitors are unfamiliar with the concept of prevalence so putting that as a subtitle on the front page won't provide them with any useful information. I will update the "how it works" section though, and put in a link to the Wikipedia page.

We find that "Database engine" sells better when talking to business people and stakeholders and also gets the discussion going fast talking to people with a technical background. Also, we are adding more features to #liveDB on top of the prevalence layer like support for relational modeling, CRUD, ad-hoc dynamically compiled LINQ queries. So maybe "database engine" isn't really that misleading after all.
