Shared Understanding +1 Correctness will be difficult to achieve. For example is it "log" or "journal"? Consistency is more important. When talking to a DBA, I use 'transaction log', when talking to a DDD/CQRS/Event Sourcing person I say command journal and talk about command sourcing and compare with event sourcing (ES).
