Really?

public class Foo implements Transaction{
  public void executeOn(Object root, Date time) {
    root.setFoo("foo");
    somethingThatGoesWrong();
    root.setBar("bar");
  }
}

To me atomicity (all or nothing) always meant that if something goes wrong within a transaction nothing is committed.

In this case setFoo is set, setBar is not.
