>From your file path it looks like an old version of the project. Current version on Github is 2.7-SNAPSHOT. 

If you're indeed  compiling 2.3 then I would recommend that you upgrade to 2.6 (2.7-SNAPSHOT is in fact the exact same as 2.6). I'm pretty sure it's 100% backwards compatible with 2.3.

If you're actually compiling something different than 2.3, then what version is it? See pom.xml for details on that. 

If you really need to compile the version you're compiling, then where did you get it? If you don't remember, please package the code and put it somewhere for us to take a look at it.
