Yeah, I think a decision to just drop corrupted transactions in the 
middle would have to be on a per-project basis. I've worked on some 
projects where I'd want the system to come up and chug along (but warn 
me) and others where it would absolutely have to stay down until the 
problem was manually resolved. E.g., in a financial trading system, no 
trading is better than making trades based on an incorrect understanding 
of the position.
