Hi,

Here's a follow up on the pricing of a 2TB RAM IBM server.

I checked current RAM prices.

2TB of Kingston ECC RAM for 21000 USD :
http://www.dustin.se/product/5010653131/kingston-16gb-1333mhz-ddr3l-ecc-reg-cl9-dimm-1-35v-hynix-m/

Here's 2TB of server RAM from HP for 47232 USD:

The price for RAM according to the spec in my previous post was over 127000 USD!
Not sure if the specs are entirely equivalent or if ram actually has fallen in price by 66-80 percent.

Also, over 62000 USD of the cost was for a total of 7TB raid and ssd disks.
And 15000 was for microsoft licenses :)

So adjusting for price of RAM, high-end disk system and licenses the cost of a 2TB RAM server
would be (294-127-62-15+21) * 0.75 discount =~ 83000 USD
