Klaus,
"Operations total" collects over entire benchmark run. For the op/s number,
you have to substract the "Operations total"
from the previous run, which is done by the op/s-algorithm. That explains
the wierdness in display.

Marcel,
my guess is, the scalability demos' heavy usage of the underlying map
results in huge object allocation counts. Especially, when the persisting
phase of a transcation tends to small durations, a lot more transactions
are generated and therefore a lot more object creation/gc cycles kick in.

I'm curious, how the databen.ch "application" does perform with a transient
prevayler. And even more curious, how P8 scales with 80% read and 20% write
transactions. Need to install Scala... ;-)
