Then life decided otherwise and I was given the responsibility of a documentation project for Airbus with tight delays and a too small team so I've been working 60-hours a week since then. Interesting stuff but I needed to stop twice because of burn-out... So there is no real perspective I will start this sort of refactoring any time soon, though I'm still interested and gained much expertise in Seam since the time. So I prefer to be really humble on this subject and leave the word to those in the team who produce actual work whatever their choice... "Talk is cheap. Show me the code." (attributed to Linus Torvalds). Anyway if anyone is interested, scarab-incubator was not restricted to Seam refactoring: it was "forked" to be a playground for (potentially dangerous) experiments around Scarab in general without the risk of breaking the current code base.
