I have the feeling it was related with the datamodel, and with the relationships between users/roles, groups and attributes being quite *weird*... Somehow, my idea of a business logic should provide a clean interface to "let's iterate through the visible fields", and not to start asking for permissions in the view layer... not that I'm sure about that code anymore, it's just the feeling I got.
