  "Have you seen what is now available in 0.22 with Attribute viewing permissions? It allows attribute group to be shown only to people with appropriate permissions. One usecase is this can be done so "customers" see a very simple scarab installation while company staff see a more complex scarab, and possibly the company developers see an even more complex scarab.
But this really is only the tip of the iceberg of what you are describing.

I like what you propose - does it tie into properly separating scarab's view domain from the control and model domains? That is one step to providing a Scarab API that promotes the Scarab data model as much as the application itself."
