Hi there, Fred;  if I remember correctly, there's no way of avoiding that
effect with the current implementation of the calendar, because of the inner
nature of the windows controls (because it's in Windows where you're getting
that effect, isn't it?)
I think that there's a way of telling CalendarPopup to create a small window
instead of a layer, and that could be a solution, though it'd probably slow
down the calendar.
