RE: Question marks in emails instead of diactric symbols (polish) inScarab 0.21

Dear All,

I check my old email notification and figured out that it was working on my 0.20 scarab in Windows 2000 with MySQL5.0.29 and embedded Tomcat.
I set the email encoding, default charset, and the charset on MySQL to Big5. The old email notification shows correct Chinese characters.

The email notification are of garbage characters when the server runs on either RHEL4 or Windows server 2003.
The configurations parameters are the same for the encoding and character sets.

Is there any change in the email relevant files or settings between 0.20 and b21 ?

I also encounter the same problem whenever I set the email encoding to UTF-8 or BIG5.

the content type was always set to ansi.

I use RHEL4 which Chinese charset support although the GUI in linux is shown in English.
Could this be the problem ?

The problem as you see is that every polish diactric symbol (like 
ąęłżźćńśĄĘŁŻŹĆŃŚ except ó) is replaced with question mark '?'.

No matter if I set scarab.email.encoding to UTF-8 or ISO-8859-2 - in the 
whole e-mail only "Subject" field is properly encoded in UTF-8.

Is this a bug or something wrong with configuration?
