Hi there,

I downloaded scarab-0.21.zip, unzipped it in L:\tmp\scarab-0.21 (w2k sp4),
installed maven 2.0.9, set the M2, M2_HOME, JAVA_HOME environment variables and
appropriate path (JAVA_HOME pointing to D:\Java\jdk1.5.0_06 ), altered the
build.properties file by copying project.properties and stripping it afterwards
(altered database to Oracle), adding the ojdbc14.jar to scarab lib-directory.
Then I tried to start a maven build with mvn java:compile

I got the error: "The plugin 'org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-java-plugin' does
not exist..."

As I´m new to maven: is this a scarab-related problem or maven-related ? Has
someone a tipp ?

I also tried to use ant on our webserver (suse linux 10.3 with ant 1.65
installed) but got nowhere.

In the end scarab has to run with tomcat 6 on our production system. Therefore
we do not need the vintage tomcat 4.1x sandbox system. Is there a simple way to
use Eclipse to generate the class-files ?

We would like to try scarab for issue tracking for our struts web-application.
But it will have to run with Oracle 10g and we have to integrate it in our
existing user management system. How is the recent status regarding Oracle -
still "broken" ?

Thanks and regards,
Norbert
