I dont´t know how active the development community is but you can get answers
for your question on this mailing list.
Therefore - support is active.
 
I was looking for a suitable bugtracking tool myself using Java and Oracle. But
I have not yet made the decision for or against scarab.
Pro: it has a lot of features build-in, the database designs looks fine
Contra: scarab uses a mix of frameworks like turbine and velocity, Oracle is not
supported in the newer versions. A lot of parameters to configure.
 
I was looking for a simple tool, very basic and easy to integrate in my Struts
framework. When using scarab I will have to strip it from some parts like the
persistence framework and the NTLM-integration (I´m running things on Linux and
the users have to log in through our existing Application).
 
If you are using mySQL and you run it standalone out of the box it will be
perhaps a good solution for you.

Hey there,

I’m looking for a new bugtracking tool and found scarab. I like the tool but I
have a question: Is this project still in development? I don’t want to use
discontinued project software.
