Re: Notification mail too short after migration to 0.21

Hi,

I found a workaround that will work for us:

When I check "Include issue details" in the global "Email configuration", 
Scarab will always send correctly filled emails with details (regardless 
of the module settings: I have deselected the "Include issue details" box 
in the module configuration and have the "Allow module overrides" box 
checked in the global "Email configuration").

I think, there are two errors:

1. Theres something wrong with the generation of "no detail" mail 
notifications. I haven't looked through the email templates, so I don't 
know the reason why.
2. The module configuraton cannot override the "Issue details" 
configuration for emails.

May be this should be fixed in the next release.

Notification mail too short after migration to 0.21







Hello, 

I migrated a scarab 0.20 instance to 0.21 on an new server. All went fine, 
migrating the DB schemas and "patching" the hostname in the tables have 
worked flawlessly. 

When scarab sends change notifications, the mails look garbled like this 
(e.g. I have changed the ticket description):

---------------------------- end mail 

I have configured 

system.mail.pseudohtml=false 

because pseudohtml doesn't work with Lotus Notes. The Mail-Service uses 
UTF-8 (scarab.email.encoding=UTF-8). 

I have the module configured to "have activity generate email" und have 
unchecked issue details. But also the issue link is missing. By the way: 
same problem when ich check "issue details". I have tested following 
configurations: 

Scarab 0.21 
Windows Server 2003 
Apache Tomcat/6.0.18 
JVM: 1.6.0_10-b33 (alternative tested 1.5.0_16) 
Database: mysql-5.1.29-rc-win32 (alternative tested mysql-4.1.22-win32)


I have noticed some interesting messages in scarab's logfiles but it seems 
that they have nothing to do with the email generation:

B.T.W: I have installed a new clean Scarab 0.21 on Sun with Oracle, and 
there are no problems like this, so it may have something to do with the 
DB migration? Any suggestions?
