Scarab Search Index Update

Hi, All:

 

My company uses Scarab 0.21 and the MySQL DB has probably 3 million plus
records from all tables.  I ran an "update search index" couple days ago
and it took 36+ hours to complete.  I wonder:

 

(1) How often do I need to update search index?

(2) Can search index be incrementally updated?

(3) Any command line util that can do this job?
