> Add WATCHMARKS: > ============== Here I agree with Jorge and Johannes. Move the Assign-Me button to the main page. Add an Unassign-Me button. This should give us much of the benefits of the watchmark-feature. As Johannes already stated, With the current implementation, if I want to find all the issues I'm watching, I can just query for the according user-attribute. With a dedicated watchmark-feature we would have to enhance the search-engine, to support this feature. Remember, you described the search-engine as 'artwork' ;). > Constraints on user attributes > ====================== +1 Just a new property of the User-Attribute to enforce good practices. > Workflow modifications > ================= > Quick Association Button > =================== This sounds like a lot of work (and javascript) ;). If you want to tackle it anyway, here an alternative solution: How about rotating the user-matrix by 90 degrees and copying the functionality of the address-field of email-clients like GMail or MSOutlook? Provide a text-input-field for each of the user attributes which is freely editable and contains all the currently assigned users separated by semicolon. The input-field performs autocompletion and maybe fuzzy-matching. In my experience this is the most efficient way of assigning recipients to an email, so why shouldn't it be as efficient when assigning users to an issue. > Remove the hardcoded Created-by-user > =================== Ok, this one was not on your list, but I think it fits right here: My user are regularly annoyed by the fact, that the creator of an issue has no way to unsubscribe from the issue and stop receiving email-notifications for it. How about the following change: Disable the hardcoded notification of the creator. When creating a new issue, always assign the creator with a configurable user-attribute, which is processed as usual.
