Though I don't have anything against going >1.4, I'd like to keep interfaces homogeneous if possible (i.e., being consistent in the use of jdk features)

Asunto: giving up support of java-1.4 and below

Hi;

I think, we can now safely forget about java 1.4 as the sun-jdk-1.4 is no
longer maintained. I have started cleaning up the code around
NotificationManager and added some generics (List<AttributeCondition> ...
etc)
This is a tremendious help for getting clean and understandable code ;-) I
am not sure if we should stick to java-1.6, hence i am currently working in
java-1.5 compatibility mode.

Please complain, if you think you got any serious argument against this
move.

regards,
Hussayn
