Re: is scarab at its end of lifetime ?

Hi.

I use Scarab on a production site. Our users are satisfied and as long as
the number of Scarab related bug reports (from our users) remains at
about 2 per year, there is no need (for me) to do any significant
development within Scarab. However...

My current plan with Scarab:

There is one big issue remaining for me to do (right now): We want to add
data dependencies, so that the value of one attribute can drive the value of
another attribute. I will send another email about my plan shortly.

About the known bugs in Scarab (solitone issue tracker):
==============================================
Users of the system should just fix the errors and possibly send back 
fixes which work
for the current trunk. I am sorry if i missed such efforts from others 
in the past.
Please feel free to email me directly, when you have something that 
could just be added.
I will reserve some time for revieweing and applying any patches.

About migrating to another tool:
===========================
I also am constantly thinking about migrating to another system (since 3 
years now).
Jira is definitively one candidate, but actually i fear that we will 
have a lot of work
to migrate our Scarab-installation to any other tool. And as i stated 
before, as long
as the customer is satisfied, why change a running system ?
