legal ciphers in securityfilter-config.xml

Just wondering what are other valid values for these:

	   <remember-me-param name="encryptionAlgorithm" value="DES"/>
             <remember-me-param name="encryptionMode" value="ECB"/>
             <remember-me-param name="encryptionPadding"  
value="PKCS5Padding"/>

I'd like to find one that produces username and password cookie values  
that don't include the = character.  I think it might have more to do  
with the padding than the encryption algorithm.
