I am using Tomcat 4.1.12-LE-jdk14. It is kind of strange that
request.getServletPath() is partially normalized (less slashes).

Here's what I got on WebLogic 6.1 SP2:

request.getRequestURI() = /securityfilter-example//////////index.jsp
request.getRequestURL() =
http://localhost:7001/securityfilter-example//////////index.jsp
request.getServletPath() = /index.jsp

Ah, I see that there is a bug for Tomcat. I'll update to the latest version
4.1.18 and see if it is fixed. Okay, I'm back on the no-regex integration
plan now...
