re: automatic logon w/ SecurityFilter?

We don't have that functionality yet, but I think it would be really useful,
so I'd like to add it. On first thought, it seems like it would be a good
project to do outside of SecurityFilter so that it could also be used with
container-managed authentication. However, I don't know of any good way to
force a login to container-based security. Since we do have that access with
SecurityFilter, it probably makes sense to do it as part of this project.

 By automatic logon, I mean that feature of some web sites where
 you have a checkbox near your username/password that says
 "Remember Me" so you don't have to log on again for a while.

 In the example realm filters included in the source code,
 a username/password is always used.  You also don't have
 access to the HttpServletRequest or Response to get at the
 cookies that automatic logon is usually implemented with.

 Is this possible w/ SecurityFilter?
