Sorry its been so long since the last updates, but I made some progress tonight: * went through the mailing list archive to add any bugs that weren't in the SourceForge bug tracking system yet * there is a fix for various pattern matching bugs in CVS right now, including requests like /foo/bar/index.html getting incorrectly matched to /bar/* (I am holding off on closing the bug, though, as this stuff might change...) * I wrote a test setup to check the matching functionality that will also be useful for trying alternate regular expression packages, as we might make a switch to Jakarta-ORO to solve the sychronization problem. I am going to do some performance comparisons and verify the matching functionality to choose an approach. I looked at the ORO project and through it doesn't quite work the same way as Regexp, it does look like it would be faster considering our multi-threaded environment (precompiled thread-safe patterns, with a Matcher for each request thread). The test setup is not in CVS, but I might add it as a separate project once it stabilizes. I plan to fix the highest priority stuff (patterns & synchronization) and do a release in two weeks or less. -Max ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf
