Problem closing socket

Using:
-seda3 from July 2002 archive (unable to get CVS tip working)
-Redhat
-java version "1.4.2_07"


I'm having a problem closing a socket.  I call close() on the 
ATcpConnection instance and even receive the SinkClosedEvent, the 
socket remains open though.  I can send data, but I receive no more 
events.  I'v looked over the http server example and I'm doing the same 
thing.  What am I missing?
