Your program run exactly like it should! Look at the handleEvent in all 3 stages: they System.out.println() the event. The program is a timer that pushes a generic event (BufferElement) over and over, at a certain delay interval, tunable in the .cfg I recommend you play with it, change delays, look at thread pools and queue sizes, etc... If you want, I have thos 3 classes and a .cfg that exploits the per stage threadpool config, with a live GUI profiler. (see earlier posts about the profiler UI thing...) ------------------- Hello, I'm new using SEDA and I compiled it under cygwin and am trying to run it under windows. I made some changes that seemed to get it working, but I am unsure if I've missed something. Here is what I am getting when I try to run Sandstorm with the sandstorm.cfg from test/basic Sandstorm v3.0 <[email protected]> Starting at Fri Jun 27 16:17:31 EDT 2003 ThreadPoolController: Started, delay 2000 ms, threshold 1000, autoMaxDetect fals e Sandstorm: Starting aSocket layer aSocket layer using JDK1.4 java.nio package AggThrottle <aSocket ReadStage> created: minBatch 4, maxBatch 1000, recalcWindow 1000 TP <aSocket ReadStage>: initial 1, min 1, max 1, blockTime 1000, idleTime 0 TP <aSocket ReadStage>: Starting 1 threads AggThrottle <aSocket ListenStage> created: minBatch 4, maxBatch 1000, recalcWind ow 1000 TP <aSocket ListenStage>: initial 1, min 1, max 1, blockTime 1000, idleTime 0 TP <aSocket ListenStage>: Starting 1 threads AggThrottle <aSocket WriteStage> created: minBatch 4, maxBatch 1000, recalcWindo w 1000 TP <aSocket WriteStage>: initial 1, min 1, max 1, blockTime 1000, idleTime 0 TP <aSocket WriteStage>: Starting 1 threads Sandstorm: Starting aDisk layer ThreadPoolController: Started, delay 2000 ms, threshold 20, autoMaxDetect false TP <AFileTPTM Stage>: initial 1, min 1, max 20, blockTime 1000, idleTime 1000 TP <AFileTPTM Stage>: Adding 1 threads to pool, size 1 TP <AFileTPTM Stage>: Starting 1 threads Stage name GenStage1 Classname GenericHandler Sandstorm: Loaded GenStage1 from GenericHandler Creating Stage <GenStage1>, batch controller enabled Stage name SinkStage Classname DevNullHandler Sandstorm: Loaded SinkStage from DevNullHandler Creating Stage <SinkStage>, batch controller enabled Stage name TimerStage Classname TimerHandler Sandstorm: Loaded TimerStage from TimerHandler Creating Stage <TimerStage>, batch controller enabled Sandstorm: Initializing stages -- Initializing <GenStage1> sleep=100 TP <GenStage1>: initial 1, min 1, max 10, blockTime 1000, idleTime 1000 TP <GenStage1>: Adding 1 threads to pool, size 1 AggThrottle <GenStage1> created: minBatch 4, maxBatch 1000, recalcWindow 1000 TP <GenStage1>: Starting 1 threads -- Initializing <SinkStage> Started TP <SinkStage>: initial 1, min 1, max 10, blockTime 1000, idleTime 1000 TP <SinkStage>: Adding 1 threads to pool, size 1 AggThrottle <SinkStage> created: minBatch 4, maxBatch 1000, recalcWindow 1000 TP <SinkStage>: Starting 1 threads -- Initializing <TimerStage> delay=500 TP <TimerStage>: initial 1, min 1, max 10, blockTime 1000, idleTime 1000 TP <TimerStage>: Adding 1 threads to pool, size 1 AggThrottle <TimerStage> created: minBatch 4, maxBatch 1000, recalcWindow 1000 TP <TimerStage>: Starting 1 threads Sandstorm: Waiting for all components to start... I've done a little bit of research to figure out why, but I figured I'd post this then continue just in case someone else knows what's going on. I might have totally messed something up when I was working with cygwin. Thanks for any help. Bryan __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
