Sparse Flat Neighborhood Network (SFNN) design and SEDA

Hello everyone,

How is the relationship between Sparse Flat Neighborhood Network (SFNN)
design ( http://aggregate.org/KASY0/press.html ) and SEDA?

Detail documents about SFNN is not available yet. From brief reading the
site, I understand that SFNN is better than Flat Neighborhood Network to
suit web farm. As web servers do not require every computer to talk to each
other with one switch latency. I think web server just need to talk to
internet and Database servers and application servers. There is no need to
let web servers talk to each other heavily except to share some http session
and some load balance and resource sharing management.

I don't care about GFLOPS, but I do care about price. Their
price/performance ratio seems really attractive.

By the way, how do they(http://www.spec.org/web99/) define a single
computer? By using SFNN concept, it seems that if someone have enough money,
he can just put more computers(thousands computers) to the farm and claim to
be a Beowulf computer, it will win the SPECweb99 without any problem. Is
that true?

And I think SEDA or any web server i.e. Apache can be effortlessly using
SFNN without any problem. As SFNN allows local disk and will be transparent
to application if the application can be scalable.
