I think the problem is the following code in
sisc.modules.s2j.Util.resolveType:

         try {
             return Class.forName(name, true, cl);
         } catch (ClassNotFoundException e) {
             return resolvePrimitiveType(name);
         }

This should be switched around, i.e.

Class res = resolvePrimitveType(name);
if (res != null) return res;
try {
   return Class.forName(name, true, cl);
} catch (ClassNotFoundException e) {
   return null;
}

Can you give this a try and see wheter it fixes the problem?

Matthias.
PS: I think this code has not changed in a long time, so it is strange
that the behaviour has.
