SISC 1.8.4-rc is now released and available at the usual spots. This is
a release candidate. As such, we'd appreciate that users pound on this
heavily, as barring any newly discovered bugs, we will release 1.8.4
stable in a week or two. This release fixes a number of bugs, a few of
them fairly serious:

  * Fixed a continuation invocation bug introduced by a bogus
    optimization in 1.8.1-alpha.
  * Fixed a misuse of the vlr capture flag that was resulting
in bad lexical environment recycling, ultimately crashing the REPL.
  * Fixed a bug in parameterize where multiple body expressions weren't
    allowed.
  * Changed SRFI-18 to use the SRFI-19 time datatypes.
  * Upgraded SRFI-19 to the latest reference implementation which
    contains many bug fixes.
  * Fixed identifier generation in nested modules which were
    causing collisions.
  * Introduction of explicit syntax tokens (a low level feature which
will allow us to simplify the global environment and fix a
    redefinition bug in the future).

  Enjoy!
