I am unclear on what functionality is provided by
ThreadContext.hostThread.

The aim appears to be to associate every o/s thread with a SchemeThread.

I am wondering how this play out in scenarios where the same o/s thread
has passed through nested invocations across multiple AppContexts. It
seems to me that this would result in thread/current returning a thread
that is bound to a DynamicEnvironment which points to an AppContext that
is different from the one executing the thread/current call. Whether or
not that is bad obviously depends on what one does with the SchemeThread
thus obtained.

Scott, since you wrote most of that code, can you give this some
thought?
