The problem, in addition to the general opacity of the code, is that it adds a new feature, environments, which conflict with SISC's environments. I personally have been considering moving to Andre von Tonder's syntax-case implementation instead, but it would need to be done at a fairly major release, since its bound not to be perfectly backwards compatible.
