Category: REPL Group: None Status: Open Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Interactive Debug Initial Comment: Many Lisp/Scheme implementation feature an extremely useful interactive debug accessible via the REPL. Upon reaching of a breakpoint (or an error), the interpreter jumps into a REPL in the scope of the point where the execution failed or was stopped. You can then examine the objects in this scope, and even change their values, and continue -- not to talk about the ability to move up the stack. The lack of such a debugging facility is tainting the adoption of SISC (otherwise excellent due to its seamless integration with the widespread J2EE) in several real-world applications. Of course, debugging a WebApplication is a long way to go, but even the "standard" interactive debugger would be a treat. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=379537&aid=1735856&group_id=23735 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
