Automating Java integration

I'm working on a project which is going to require that I use a large  
number of Java classes from Scheme. Writing out all the generic  
function and Java class definitions  by hand seems like a daunting  
effort. Does sisc include any tools to automate the process? If not,  
has anyone on the list  written such a tool? If not, are there any  
gotchas I should keep in mind if I decide to write one?
