SISC and JDK1.5?

Greetings.

The binary distribution of sisc-1.13.4 _may_ have a glitch in it.

The sisc/modules/R5RS.class within the sisc.jar distributed in  
sisc-1.13.4.tar.gz has a class file version of 49.0, which is the  
format generated by JDK1.5 -- was that supposed to happen?  There's  
no mention of 1.5 in the release notes, and I recall that Scott (?)  
had mentioned that SISC aimed to be compatible with older JVMs.   
Class file version 49.0 fails to load inside a 1.4.x JDK.

This is the only file with this class version -- all the rest are  
46.0.  When I rebuild the source from sisc-1.13.4.jar (using JDK  
1.5.0_05 on OS X), all the .class files come out as version 46.0.

This is not a problem for me (in fact it tripped me up in a useful  
way), but I can see it causing some trouble for others, so I mention  
it just in case it is a packaging mistake of some type.

Also (a trivial point), the release notes say that 1.13.4 was  
released on 4/10/2005.  If this means 4 October 2005 it's six months  
out; if it means 10 April 2005 (rather more likely), it's a year out!
