Alex,

no, I still want the REPL after evaluating some
initialization code -- that was the whole idea.

However, I'm getting a very similar error with -x.

Since Norman also reported not getting the error,
perhaps there's something wrong with my SISC (maybe I
have some made changes to the code), though I don't
recall that.
