I'd agree with that. Another factor from my tests seems to be the SXML
transformations and serialization. The speedup I observe in the hello
example servlet when providing a "manually compiled" SXML (*) is
almost threefold.

(*) i.e. something like '(*TOP* "<html>...." ,k-url "...</html>)
