R6RS and support for dynamic languages on the JVM?

We haven't made a firm decision on R6RS, but we will likely adopt the
parts that make sense, and perhaps fully support less controversial
efforts like ERR5RS.  The Scheme community itself as you may know is
still deciding what to do about R6RS, since it contains many
controversial changes.

We'll take a look at how invokedynamic might affect SISC, but that
feature isn't in the JVM yet, and typically we target one or two major
releases behind the current one, as cutting edge JVMs typically don't
enjoy broad cross platform support.  For example, Java 6 on Mac
exists, but isn't well supported yet, lacking hardware acceleration
for drawing.
