I am not sure which way round you would like the answer to be! In short, yes with a standard compound, but it is equally possible to create a variant of compound that would not allow a child to register with it without some specified criteria being satisfied.

Most deployment methods (such as sfDeployComponentDescritpion and its wrappers) allows the specification of a parent component, and this parent will (in the default case) accept that parental role.

Subject: [Smartfrog-developer] Doubt about dynamic deployment

Hello all.

We have a doubt about the dynamic deployment. Let's imagine there is a component called "A", already deployed on SmartFrog. We also have a component named "B" (not deployed yet), that we want it to be a child of component "A". "A" does not have a LAZY reference to "B" in its description.
Is it possible for "B" to be a child of "A" without "A" previously knowing of "B" existence?

  Thanks a lot,

     Gustavo and Alisson
