sfCodeBase and Prim

Hi -

Not sure if this is something documented, Is there a difference in  
following two notations

MyComponents extends {
	sfClass "...";
}

and

MyComponent extends Prim {
	sfClass "...";
}

In case 1, sfCodeBase attribute is not present in the parsed  
description, which may be because its defined in Prim. but if dont  
extend Prim then is it a valid SF component descriptor? It seems to  
work generally.
I assumed this attribute is available by default and something broke :-)
