Thank you very much to Patrick Goldsack and Julio Guijarro, who each answered my newbie question and explained exactly what I was doing wrong! I implemented their advice --- i.e., I stopped trying to execute my data :-) --- and now things seem to be working fine. Onward and upward! Both Patrick and Julio also pointed out the new SmartFrog DNS components: Patrick> BTW, We just released into the CVS a set of DNS management Patrick> components. They are not yet in a packaged release, though. I'm not currently doing DNS-specific stuff, but I could imagine doing this is the future. The "dns" in my example comes from the example in the online ShellScript component documentation --- I just didn't rename the component.
