Examples on installation packages

Hi folks,
 
I'm an HP R&D engineer from a small group based in Puerto Rico. We're
heavily involved in UDC R&D, and we're already under way to have our own
local IA-64 based UDC, using SmartFrog to allocate/deallocate resources
and applications. One of the applications that we're very interested in
is dynamic server allocation/deallocation, and the dynamic web server is
a perfect example of that. Another application is that of installing and
deploying software packages that aren't simply unzipped into a directory
and run. This is most notable on Windows, where installer programs such
as InstallShield are interactive and require the user to actually deal
with various installation parameters. Would you happen to have an
example of an SF component explaining how such a process could be
automated, or dealt with?
