Re: new SF release

Hi Andreas,

We haven't made a new release because before moving to svn we committed
quite a few new changes that we want to make sure that are documented
and work as planned and would be a bit complex to branch the code of
3.10.000 just to provide the patches.

I have been thinking to make development releases between the "stable"
releases so that people don't have to wait so long to try new features. 

The different between stable and development is that the development
release will have new features that could still change in the stable
release and generally it won't be tried in every platform that we
support and we won't try all the additional manual tests that we run
before we make stable release. 

In this case, I will be able to upload new development releases more
frequently just because most of the process is automated and we don't
need to wait for a new feature to be completely stable.

I will make the first development release as soon as all the automatic
tests pass.
