Re: MySQL component

Hi Phillip,

 

We have used MySQL in previous projects and had components that started
and installed MySQL but those components are based in code that has been
deprecated. I am going to check what can be reused or ported to the new
code base and make it available to you. This should not take me more
than a couple of days. In any case, MySQL can be useful to so many
people that I don't mind improving/rewriting those components. This has
been in our todo list for a while and it is now time to do something
about it.

Hello all.  I'm currently implementing a performance testing system in
smartfrog.  i was wondering if anyone has written or knew of a smartfrog
component to install and manage MySQL.  I've seen one mentioned in a
couple of presentations, but couldn't find the code anywhere.  All of my
code will be licensed LGPL, so any added features (or bugs :) ) to an
existing component will be shared.  Thanks.
