Well, while we look for a better name I've created sandbox/alchemist
(name suggests transformation between similar objects,
although some more precious than others - at least to some :-)
I envisage alchemist to have a facade utility class for each
object that needs transforming, eg LoggerAlchemist.
This at the moment only contains two (static) methods,
org.jcontainer.dna.Logger toDNALogger(
org.apache.avalon.framework.logger.Logger logger )
org.apache.avalon.framework.logger.Logger logger toAvalonLogger(
org.jcontainer.dna.Logger logger)
but more methods to handle more types of loggers can be added.
Idea being that alchemist can become a component that transforms
objects from various COP frameworks.
Have a look at http://spice.sourceforge.net/alchemist/
which is fully unit tested.
