I personally have use cases when standard webapps need to coexist along with Jervlet deployed ones. Some large apps are already running in Jetty and need to continue to do so. I made a patch for Sevak last spring (I think) that made it possible to give Jetty conf files in its own format and configure webapp directories etc. Small thing, but it seemed to work. How do you guys feel about adding this functionality to Jervelt now? I don't know how it can be done for Tomcat or Jo, but it should be possible to come up with something that works for all containers and a common configuration format. I would refactor later though.
