I've updated the dependencies on the maven-sar-plugin
(it would not build as it was looking for the wrong version).
I took the change to update to the latest snapshot version,
so need to download the plugin next time
(see post on jcontainer list).

Also, I would suggest renaming the base-project.xml at top-level
to project.xml and adding a maven.xml with a reactor to build all
components.

Plenty of examples of that in spice!
