In the default Jetty configuration; the webapps dir, the request log and 
the SSL socket listener example. They use jetty.home and default to . if 
it doesn't exist.

It is completely possible to manage without the jetty.home parameter. 
What kind of impact it would have on people thinking about switching to 
Jervlet is hard to say.

Lets look at Peter's code example. Perhaps some magic could do. I also 
like the idea of making the feature request, but I don't think we can 
make it right just yet. There might be other things than jetty.home to set.
