[spice-dev] Salt 1.1

Hi,

I was thinking of hacking on salt again to add in features that are 1.4 
specific. In particular I want to enhance the existing io classes to 
work with NIO features. This would also mean we could remove the oro 
dependence in favour of using built in JDK features. Users who need JDK 
1.3 compatibility can continue to use the 1.0 version. Thoughts?
