The following issue has been updated:

    Updater: Tim Anderson (mailto:[email protected])
       Date: Mon, 14 Feb 2005 7:00 PM
    Comment:
Actually, memory contexts work fine - the testSubcontextBindAndLookup test is incorrect in the original patch.
The corrected testSubcontextBindAndLookup fails for remote contexts

    Changes:
             Attachment changed to AbstractContextTestCase.diff2

        Key: SPICE-47
Summary: [jndikit] Handling of subcontexts broken
       Type: Bug

     Status: Unassigned
   Priority: Blocker

 Original Estimate: Unknown
 Time Spent: Unknown
  Remaining: Unknown

Description:
Handling of subcontexts is broken for memory and remote contexts, but in slightly different ways:

For memory contexts:
. a bind() followed by a lookup() results in a NameNotFoundException
   (see testSubcontextBindAndLookup)

For remote contexts:
. binding to a subcontext followed by a list() from the
root context returns no elements (see testSubcontextBindAndList1)

. binding to a subcontext from the root context, followed by a list()
of the subcontext returns the subcontext element
  (see testSubcontextBindAndList2)

. binding to a subcontext followed by a listBindings() returns the
  subcontext element (see testSubcontextListBindings)
